The legal questions, answered
One line stays put: the game files come from a copy you own, and this site will not point you at one.
No official PC version of Bloodborne exists, and the PC routes are unofficial fan projects. Each ships a runtime and no game data, and their own documentation says the game files must come from a copy you own.
Short answer: no official PC version of Bloodborne exists, and nothing on this site is one. The PC routes are unofficial fan projects. Each of them ships a runtime and no game data, and their own documentation says the game files must come from a copy you own. What this site will not do is point you at a game download — that is the one line that stays put.

Is there an official PC version?
No. Bloodborne was released on 24 March 2015 by FromSoftware, published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, as a PlayStation 4 title. It plays on PlayStation 5 through backwards compatibility. There is no PC release to buy, and no announced one. Everything on this site exists because of that gap, not in spite of it.
So how is this possible at all?
Because Bloodborne's CPU is an ordinary x86-64 chip. The game's code does not have to be translated to run on a PC; it needs an environment that answers its calls into the PlayStation 4's operating system and translates its graphics. An emulator builds that environment by imitating a console. A native port builds it by hand for one game.
Neither ships any of the game. You supply the game.
What the projects themselves say
This is not a site policy imposed on unwilling projects — it is their own position, in their own words:
- The Hunter's Dream, the private server the PC co-op runs on, states on its front page that it
does not condone piracy, that you need your own legitimate copy of Bloodborne to play there, and that builds bundling the game are not supported.
- The Windows port's README states that no game files or copyrighted assets are included, that you
must provide your own decrypted dump, and that the project is not affiliated with Sony Interactive Entertainment, FromSoftware or AMD.
- bbhost's README states that it contains no game code or data and that you need your own copy of
the game with the 1.09 update and its decrypted executable.
- shadPS4's own quick start puts it in a caution box: games, updates and DLC are copyrighted
content and must be dumped from your own copy of the game. Its firmware module list carries the same condition — those modules must be dumped from a console you legally own.
Common questions
Do I need a jailbroken console? To make a dump yourself, yes — the tools that read a disc or an installed copy on the console expect it. If you already have a decrypted dump, you are past this step.
Does buying the game on PS4 give me the PC files? It gives you the game. Whether you can produce a usable dump from it depends on the console tools, and both the tools and the legal position vary by country. That is a question for your own jurisdiction, not one a guide page can answer for you.
Can I just download a pre-dumped copy? That is where the line is drawn, and this site stops there. Every project here is explicit that it does not support builds that bundle the game, and one of them bans accounts for it. Downloading the game from a file host is not the same act as running a loader against a copy you own.
Is my console account at risk? The projects here do not touch your PSN account: the ports skip the console's online choice entirely and connect to their own private servers instead. The account you create for online play is a PC account, held by the server, not a PSN account.
Do I need firmware files? Only for the emulator route, and only if you want the best compatibility. Those files come from your own console; the ports implement the equivalent functions instead and need nothing from a PlayStation.
The boundaries this site keeps
- No game files, in any form. No repacks, no pre-dumped folders, no links to either, and no
"just search for" hints that amount to the same thing.
- No ripped assets used as site imagery. Everything visual here is official promotional
material published by PlayStation, credited in the footer and on each page.
- No pretending. Where a project has a known limitation, it is written down as one — the
troubleshooting page lists several that will not be fixed this week.

Official links
Buying the game, and the only sources of the game itself, are PlayStation's:
- The official PlayStation page for Bloodborne, which is where the store listing and the current
price live.
The projects this site documents, all of them open source:
- shadPS4 — the PlayStation 4 emulator
- bbport — the native Linux port
- bbhost — the translation layer for Windows and Linux
- bloodborne_pc_windows_port — the native Windows port
- The Hunter's Dream — the private online server
Those links, and the setup guides that go with them, are the whole of what this site offers. Start with the route comparison if you are still choosing.
